STUDY COURSE

ALPHA

Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith. People of all ages are welcome.

Learning and laughter. It is possible to learn about the Christian faith and have fun at the same time!

People meeting together. An opportunity to make new friends.

Helping one another. The discussion time gives you chance to talk over issues raised during the talks.

Ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is regarded as too simple or too hostile.

WHAT HAPPENS AT ALPHA?

The  session  will begin with a short time of  worship (a song and a prayer)

We will then look at one of a series of talks on DVD given by Rev Nicky Gumbel. These help us with topics related to the Christian faith and aim to explore questions such as: What is the point of life? What happens to us when we die? What relevance does Jesus have for our lives today? How do we  pray?

After the talk we will enjoy some refreshments and will  then take time to discuss any issues or questions we may have, giving opportunity to get to know each other and learn together.

There will be no pressure ! -  Our aim is to provide an atmosphere in which all can relax. Our hope is that it will be fun as we learn and share together.
